Terms and conditions for IAM Weekend 21 - Barcelona & Planet Earth Edition
1. SUBJECT MATTER
Conditions regarding participation at Events organised by IAM, such as the “IAM WEEKEND 21 BARCELONA EDITION” or “IAM WEEKEND 21 PLANET EARTH EDITION”.The following general terms and conditions apply to the contractual relation between the organizer (IAM) and the participant of the Event. The terms and conditions are only available in English. The terms and conditions do not apply to other activities organised by IAM.

3. PRICE / PARTICIPATION + REGISTRATION FEE
All prices on the event’s website are displayed in EURO and include VAT and payment processing fees.
4. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF REGISTRATION, CONFIRMATION OF PARTICIPATION, TICKETING
Once the online registration payment has been received, a confirmation of the registration (including an unique registration code) will be sent to the email address of the participant.The participant shall make sure to show the confirmation email (especially the unique registration code) and bring it along with a valid ID. With the effective payment of the relevant ticket price the participant has all rights described below.
5. SERVICES INCLUDED
Each ticket price covers access to the event’s happenings, activities or contents as described on the event website and the lists below.
5.1 BARCELONA EDITION
5.1.1 Forum Day: Grants access to the ‘Forum Day’ in the main venue on Friday, November 12, 2021, plus 1 Week-long pass
5.1.2 All-Access Ticket: Grants access to the ‘Unconference’ on Thursday, November 11, 2021, the ‘Forum Day’ in the main venue on Friday, November 12, 2021, and up to 2 ‘Workshops’ on Saturday, November 13, 2021, plus digital access included in Week-long pass.
5.1.3 All-Access Patron Ticket: Same access as All-Access Ticket plus 1-year membership for The Billion Seconds Institute
5.1.4 Pay It Forward Fund Sponsor: Includes two All-Access Patron tickets plus optional mentions on IAM channels and main stage during the opening ceremony
5.2 PLANET EARTH EDITION
5.2.1 Week-long Pass: Grants digital access to live stream of ‘Forum Day’ on November 12, recordings and live and pre-recorded sessions between November 11-18, 2021
6. NOT INCLUDED
Travel, accommodation, food and drinks are not included in the price. Each participant has to defray his/her costs and additional expenses.
7. EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY
The organizer shall not be liable for any damage to property and other subjects. With regards to essential obligations any negligence leads to the liability of the organizer. The exclusion does not apply to the liability regarding personal damage and to any damages caused by the organizer intentively or with gross negligence.
8. PAYMENT
Tickets can be purchased through the organizer’s website by PayPal or credit card via the services of Stripe, using the ticket sales platform Ti.to.
9. INVOICES
Registered participants can request an invoice until September 31st, for purchases made before October and until November 31st for purchases made until the event dates.
10. CANCELLATIONS, SUBSTITUTIONS & REFUNDS
Tickets purchased after August 31, 2021 are generally not refundable once purchased.A participant, who is unable to attend the event, may name a substitute in writing up to 5 days prior to the events scheduled beginning.The participant shall direct the written revocation towards the organizer (see 2.) with the following information:Participant’s name, registration code/invoice number and e-mail address, as well as the name and e-mail address of the person who will now be attending in participant’s place.Not withstanding the provision regarding the right of revocation: The organizer must be notified of any cancellations at least 8 weeks prior to the event’s scheduled beginning.In some cases payment may be refunded minus a 10% administration fee.Cancellations made later than 8 weeks prior to the events scheduled beginning, as well as attendees who fail to attend, will not be refunded.
11. FORCE MAJEURE
If the IAM Weekend 21 Barcelona Edition Event is cancelled by the organizer, the organizer will fully refund the registration fee with no penalties or other reductions.However, the organizer shall not be liable for cancellation of the event if such cancellation is as a result of “Acts of God” (including fire, flood, earthquake, storm, hurricane or other natural disaster), epidemics or pandemics, war, invasion, act of foreign enemies, hostilities (regardless of whether war is declared), civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or usurped power or confiscation, terrorist activities, nationalisation, government sanction, blockage, embargo, labor dispute, strike, lockout or interruption or failure of electricity or telephone service (Force Majeure).The organizer is not responsible for travel expenses or penalties under any circumstances.
12. SPEAKER LINE-UP AND SCHEDULE
While all featured guests on the website have confirmed their participation, the organizer can not guarantee that the line-up or schedule is fully final. Featured guests and schedule are subject to change without notice.
13. DATA SECURITY
Datas of the participants will only be used for the purpose of registration / participation of the events. Our data security practice is in accordance with GDPR laws.
14. APPLICABLE LAW
To all disputes deriving from these terms and conditions and the participation of the event (regarding tickets, access etc.) Spanish law is applicable.
15. JURISDICTION
All disputes arising from this terms and conditions and the participation to the conference are subject to the jurisdiction of the organizer`s principal place of business, Barcelona, Spain.
16. MISCELLANEOUS
Every provision of these terms and conditions is independent and valid independently from the validity of the other provisions.If a provision should be invalid, it shall be replaced by a provision which corresponds to the presumed corresponding intention of the concerned parties.
