PROPOSAL DESCRIPTION
A participatory workshop using rapid design to generate multiple future artefacts (products, services, experiences)—based on a mix of all the Imagining Intercitizenships research themes and components—that will then be ‘stocked’ in a ‘future store’ for further sharing and provoking of a plurality of perspectives.
Participants—Unlimited, can smaller groups or individuals (individuals produce more output)
Output—1 x speculative product/service/experience (per group/participant) captured in four images that can be loaded as ‘product’ images in the online ’store’
The workshop starts with participants determining their design brief which is based on a sentence with three VARIABLES—these variable are determined by flipping cards.
VARIABLE 1 and 3 include the research track themes and key questions, VARIABLE 2 provides diversity and inclusivity, while the combined variables fosters plurality and innovation.
Participants are then led through a rapid design process to respond to their mission, and their designs are finalised in visuals that are loaded into the ALT-FUTRS store.
